FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

LAKE BREEZE VINEYARDS AWARDED BEST SMALL WINERY IN CANADA

Naramata, British Columbia — Lake Breeze Vineyards has been awarded the prestigious distinction of Best Small Winery in Canada, along with Best Winery in British Columbia from the National Wine Awards of Canada.

Celebrating its 20th Anniversary this year, and the 22nd vintage, Lake Breeze has been going strong on the Naramata Bench since 1995.

Winemaker Garron Elmes has been with the winery for every vintage, arriving in Canada after receiving his oenology education in Stellenbosch, South Africa.

“I am very proud of what we have accomplished here at Lake Breeze, not just with the wine, but with the culture we have created. Most of our staff have been with us for many years, and they have really built this place to be the success that it is today.”

Through it all, Elmes says the intention has always been to remain on the smaller side and focus on the quality of the wines.

Along with the winery awards, the 2014 Lake Breeze Semillon took top honours with a platinum medal, while the 2015 Sauvignon Blanc, 2015 Spice Jar, and 2012 Winemaker’s Series Riesling all received gold medals.
